The Angel Inn, Larling is CAMRA NORFOLK Pub of the Year 2010

CAMRA (the Campaign for Real Ale ), are delighted to to announce The Angel Inn at Larling has been voted Norfolk Pub of the Year for 2010. The Angel has won this prestigious award up against The Mariners in Gt. Yarmouth. In a very close contest the Angel was judged to be the best. Congratulations to Andrew Stammers of the Angel, who said he was absolutely overwhelmed with his success and would like to thank his staff, customers and CAMRA for their support.
Andrea Briars ( Regional Director for CAMRA East Anglia ) said this years competition again showcased two thiving pubs, a town local and a village pub at the heart of it's community. Well done to both for reaching this stage of the competition and I wish Andrew Stammers and the team at the Angel well in the next round.

20 July 2010 UPDATE: The presentation will take place at the Angel, Thursday 5th August at 8.00pm. The award will coincide with the start of Andrew's 17th. annual beer festival, which will continue until the 7th. August or until the beer runs out. CAMRA wish to congratulate  Andrew on his award and  wish him all the success with his beer festival and the competion for CAMRA regional pub of the year 2010 East Anglia.

NOTE: I believe this is the first time ever a West Norfolk Branch pub has won the Norfolk title !!
