BRIERS WINS FIRST NATIONAL CAMRA MEDIA AWARD
CAMRA HQ today announced that Andrea Briers
from the West Norfolk branch was their National Press & Publicity
Officer for Winter 2002 / 2003.
This is the first time that CAMRA have awarded a member this special
award for their media work. Tony Jerome, CAMRA's National Press Manager
said, "It is amazing how much media coverage the CAMRA members
achieve for our campaign and I thought it was about time we started
to award our volunteers for their hard work and success."
Mr Jerome continued, "Andrea fully deserves this first award
and is a fine example of how a volunteer can achieve such positive
coverage for CAMRA. As branch Press & Publicity Officer she has
created some great contacts in the media and is always asking for advice
on how she can improve and get more publicity for CAMRA. I look forward
to reading more of her successes in the Norfolk press! "
Andrea Briers said, "I am delighted to have won this award, and
would like to thank the branch and everyone who has helped me for their
support."
Andrea received her award from East Anglia Director, Paul Ainsworth,
at the Ouse Amateur Sailing Club on Thursday 8th May. The two
pictures below show her with fellow members of the West Norfolk Branch
CONGRATULATIONS ANDREA!!!
