King’s Lynn Club is Crowned
CAMRA East Anglia Regional Club of the Year 2016
Following on from their success of winning the title of West Norfolk Club of the Year the Ouse Amateur Sailing Club was judged alongside clubs from throughout the East Anglia Region and CAMRA (Campaign for Real Ale) are pleased to announce that they have been judged to be the winner of the title of East Anglia Club of the Year 2016.
Phil Piggott, Hon Secretary of the Ouse Amateur Sailing Club said, “We are delighted and proud to win this award and thank all our Real Ale supporters and also CAMRA for putting the Ouse Amateur Sailing Club forward. We look forward to the next round!”.
The Ouse Amateur Sailing Club have supported real ale for many decades and four to five beers and one real cider are available on gravity in their club house at the end of Ferry Lane. They are also a previous winner of the CAMRA’s National Club of the Year title.
Andrea Briers, East Anglia Regional Director said “The Ouse Amateur Sailing Club offers a good range of real ale and a cider for their members to enjoy and shows that is it possible for clubs to offer these products. I wish them luck in the next round of the competition.”
The club will to forward to the National Club of the Year competition and will be judged alongside clubs from throughout the country.
The presentation of their award took place on Wednesday 7th September at 8 pm.
